The department of Pyrénées-Orientales
Collioure is ideally located in the Pyrénées-Orientales so that you can discover the whole department. We advise you to pass by Perpignan and its Palace of the Kings of Majorca, by the Museum of Prehistory of Tautavel, by the Abbey of Saint-Martin-du-Canigou, by the ramparts of Villefranche-de-Conflent and by the fortress of Salsas.
On the wine route
The region is famous for its wine and for its wine estates. Stroll along the Wine Route which winds through the mountains, you will discover the vines of Collioure and Banyuls which are planted on terraces facing the Mediterranean. Stop by winegrowers who will share their passion for oenology and their profession with you during a tasting.
In less than half an hour's drive, you will be in Spain. We advise you to travel along the coast, passing through the municipalities of Portbou, Colera, Platja Grifeu, Llançà and El Port de la Selva to reach Cadaquès. This pleasant Spanish city will charm you with its small narrow streets, its monuments and its museums such as the House of Dali.
